Founder of mallakhamb in Tamilnadu
He was the Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Mallakhamb Association and responsible for mallakhamb, gymnastics and volleyball as well.
He was born on July 25, 1940 in Thirukoilur (Villupuram District) and the father of two daughters and a son. By profession he was a physical education teacher and served in that capacity for 40 years in various government schools working with youths aged 6 through 18. He retired from school teaching in 1999 and presently working as a full time coach of mallakhamb, gymnastics and volleyball and conduct nearly all of classes in the Municipal Park of Villupuram. He also work with both school and private teams.
With regards to mallakhamb, he acquired the knowledge of Mallakhamb at the age of 18 while studying in Maruthi college of physical education in Coimbatore.
His son, Durai Senthil kumar (Gen. Secretary of T.M.A ), however, started learning at the age of 7 and he was achieved medals and award in mallakhamb and volley ball.
Now his students namely, K.Ganesh, S.Ramachandran, M.Janarthanan are good players as well as best coach in Tamilnadu. S.Ramachandran, and K.Ganesh are the international judge. They will develop the mallakhamb in Tamilnadu.
